In 2011, when the Ford Motor Co of St. Paul closed their doors, Andy decided to open an Automotive Repair Shop in Forest Lake, MN.

Andy has had a lifelong passion for the automotive world following in his grandpa's footsteps. He grew up restoring classic cars and trucks side-by-side with his grandpa in Scandia, MN and continued on in the industry through ASE Certifications and is now an ASE Certified Master Technician.

Andy now specializes in all things truck, automotive electronics , high performance transmissions , and diesel engine repair/upgrades. He spent many many years working long hours away from his family trying to build a name for himself and now has an amazing customer base and is so thankful to have had the support of everyone as he transitioned into being a "Truck Specialty Shop" and not just an everything shop. He found a niche he is highly skilled in and is so happy to be crushing goals and selling his built transmission units all over the Midwest. He has never met a car or truck he couldn't fix and loves the challenge of a new-to-him repair.

Andy's wife, April, graduated from the Aveda Institute with a Cosmetology license in 2007. She quit working in the salon in 2013 to manage the front office at the family shop full time. Service writing, book keeping, and keeping the guys in line keeps her pretty busy at the shop all day.

You can find their family every year at the Back to the 50's car show at the MN fairgrounds, the Wheels and Wings show in Osceola WI, Frankensteiners Ball in Cambridge MN, and many other family show events as well as diesel truck meets in the Dakotas and Minnesota.

The staff at Andy's is always striving to give back to the community, local schools, and through Autism Awareness/Acceptance groups. You can help support their team "Chasing Carter" at the Autism 5K each May in Minneapolis, MN. All proceeds benefit C.A.D.E. which helps local families with kids on the spectrum.

We are so thankful as a business to be able to employ other locals and provide excellent service to those in our hometown community.

Thanks for shopping small!

Meet Bear, he is the resident shop dog and enjoys belly rubs, ear scratches, and hamburgers. He sleeps under the desk most days and occasionally supervises the technicians during labor intensive jobs. He is afraid of cats, beards, and tomato plants. Be sure to say hello when you're in for a visit. He is very mellow and loves kids.

Echo is the 'wild child' and was adopted in 2021 as a pup. She is learning.......at her own pace..... the ropes of the shop and has her heart set on being the actual Boss. We haven't told her yet the position is taken. In any case, she will certainly say hello over the counter and will not miss the opportunity for an ear scratch near the gate from those offering.

Anthony is experienced in service writing as well as being a technician. He came to us from Richfield Honda in 2020 where he managed a team of Service Writers and worked with customers to ensure a positive experience with their vehicle's service from start to finish. He spends his time away from the shop wrenching on his own cars, attending car shows, and enjoying the nearby lakes on his boat.
